When searching for film reviews, you may find it helpful to limit the dates you are searching to the year the film came out.
*Academic Search Premier Includes general interest and scholarly articles in a variety of areas including the physical sciences, social sciences and humanities. (1990-present).
*MLA Bibliography Contains references to sources on literature, linguistics, folklore, literary theory, etc. Coverage for some journals goes as far back as 1926.
*Project Muse Provides content from hundreds of scholarly and peer-reviewed social science and humanities journals. Also useful for literature, psychology, cultural aspects of the sciences, etc.
*JSTOR Access scholarly articles in a wide range of disciplines, including the physical sciences, social sciences, art, and literature. Also includes images from ARTstor.
*Academic OneFile Contains articles in a variety of subject areas, including technology, the arts, theology and more, from scholarly journals and general periodicals.
*New York Times (1980-present)Full text of the New York Times since 1980, including the New York Times Book Review, Sunday Magazine, editorial, obituaries and more.
*New York Times Historical (1851-2004)Full-text New York Times (1857-2004) and New York Daily Times (1851-1857).
*LexisNexis Academic Includes articles from national and regional newspapers, business publications, federal and state codes, case law & reference information (1990-present). Useful for finding information on current events and stories in the popular press.
*Reader's Guide Retrospective (1890-1982) Provides citations to scholarly articles on a variety of topics in American history and culture from the Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature. Citations only.
*Arts & Humanites Citation IndexIndexes major journals in the arts and humanities, including subjects such as literature, dance, archeology and history. (1975-present.) Citations only.
