*Google Scholar Google Scholar is is great way to find books, articles, and websites on scholarly topics. Materials in Spanish are limited but things are improving.
*Google Books Google Books is a useful tool to find some books, on-line books or otherwise. Some of the books are partial renderings. Materials in Spanish are limited but things are improving.

*JSTOR Search and browse scholarly articles in a wide range of disciplines, including the physical sciences, social sciences, art, and literature. Also includes images from ARTstor
*Project Muse Includes a number of journals on Latin American Studies including Latin American Research Review and Hispanic Review among others.
*ClasePeriodicaLatin American journal article citations (not full text). Composed of two Spanish-language indexes joined together in one service. The CLASE database indexes over 1200 Latin American journals in the social sciences and the humanities, while the PERIODICA database indexes over 1400 Latin American science and technology journals.
*MLA Bibliography References to sources on literature, linguistics, folklore, literary theory, etc. Coverage for some journals goes as far back as 1926.
*Historical AbstractsCovers the history of the world (excluding the US and Canada) from 1450 to the present. Useful for women's studies, history of education, military history and more. Includes journal articles and dissertations. (1955 - present)
*Directory of Open-Access Journals A collective of fee-free e-journals from around the world. Especially rich in journals from Brazil, Chile, and Spain.

Latin American Network Information Center Associated with the Long Institute of Latin American Studies at the University of Texas (UT)-Austin, this site aims “to provide Latin American users with access to academic databases and information services throughout the Internet, and to provide Latin Americanists around the world with access to information on and from Latin America.” It is primarily an index to government, academic, and popular websites, and can be searched by country or by category (such as Business, Government, etc.).
