- African American Song Contains approximately 16,000 tracks recorded between 1890s and the 1970s featuring notable artists and ensembles in the history of African American music. Including jazz, blues, sacred music, folk music, and other genres, this searchable database of recordings which can be played over the Internet features liner notes from the from the historical albums where available.
- American Song features recordings of American folk and roots music representing the musical traditions of several ethnic groups. Also included are some works by American composers writing in the European classical tradition and a retrospective of recordings of American popular music from before the 1960s. This database provides playlists of songs associated with or written about historical events.
- Contemporary World Music includes 1,030 albums, which can be searched and played over the Internet, of traditional and popular music from around the world. The listner can select an area on a map to find music from a particular reigon, and liner notes will provide backround on perhaps unfamiliar genres such as gagaku.
- Smithsonian Global Sound includes recordings owned by Smithsonian Folkways Recordings and other archival audio collections, and allows the listener to play an extensive collection of world music, with an emphasis on the folk music of the United States.
- Classical Music Library A fully searchable classical music resource of more than 50,000 licensed classical recordings that users can listen to over the Internet. Includes reference materials providing background information about composers and recordings.

- African-American Music ReferenceContains over 50,000 pages of biographies, chronologies, sheet music, images, lyrics, liner notes, and discographies chronicling the history and culture of the African American experience through music. It covers blues, jazz, spirituals, civil rights songs, slave songs, minstrelsy, rhythm and blues, gospel, and other genres.
- Classical Music Reference Library Has over 30,000 pages of reference materials spanning the entire history of Western classical music. Included are Baker's Dictionary of Music, Baker's Biographical Dictionary of Musicians, and Baker's Student Encyclopedia of Music. This release includes 26,774 essays and images from 22 sources.
- Classical Scores Library provides the PDF files of 9,258 scores of many of the major works of western classical music, from the Renaissance to the present, for study and analysis. The scores can be printed, and associated recordings from Classical Music Library will be displayed so you can play them as you study the score.
- Garland Encyclopedia of World Music Online Contains overviews of world regions’ musical heritage, traditions and themes, and descriptions of specific musical genres, practices, and performances. Articles include photographs, drawings, maps, and musical examples, with indexing and audio links.

- Oxford Journals Online Access Oxford journals in a variety of subject areas: humanities, law, life science, math, physical sciences, medicine and social sciences. Search or browse by journal title.
- Ingenta A large index of articles in a variety of subject areas. Includes tables of contents for periodicals. Useful for literature, the sciences, social science, political science and more.
- JSTOR Search and browse scholarly articles in a wide range of disciplines, including the physical sciences, social sciences, art, and literature. Also includes images from ARTstor.
