The following resources are useful for the process of "exegesis" or other scholarly readings of the books of the Bible as well as other important scripture and religious texts.
- Encyclopedia of Religion - Comprehensive coverage of world religions.
- New Catholic Encyclopedia - Covers topics such as abortion, divorce, cloning, and reproductive technologies. Includes biographies of religious figures, photos, maps, illustrations and bibliographical citations.
- The Jewish Encyclopedia This website contains the complete contents of the 12-volume Jewish Encyclopedia, originally published between 1901-1906. The Jewish Encyclopedia, which recently became part of the public domain, contains over 15,000 articles and illustrations.
Unless otherwise noted, all books are located in the Reference Stacks on the first floor of the library.
